Detached Display

A full-screen teleprompter window for second monitors and beam splitters.

Opening the detached display

In the Visual Controls panel, click Detach Display. A separate window opens with your full visual profile applied — font size, colors, mirror mode, transparent mode, and offsets. Drag it to a second monitor or beam splitter.

Using with a beam splitter

For a professional teleprompter setup with a beam splitter glass in front of a camera:

  1. Enable Mirror Mode in Visual Controls — the text will appear correctly when reflected
  2. Detach the display and drag it to the monitor below the beam splitter
  3. Set the background to black and text to white for maximum contrast
  4. Use Frameless Mode to remove window borders
  5. Go Fullscreen for a clean edge-to-edge display

Mirror Mode: ON

Window geometry

The detached window remembers its position, size, and monitor across sessions. When you reopen the app, the display window restores exactly where you left it — no need to reposition every time.

Tips

  • Minimizing the detached window automatically attaches it back to the main app
  • Toggling Frameless Mode briefly closes and reopens the window (OS limitation)
  • The main app's inline preview stays readable as an operator reference — it doesn't apply font scaling or mirror mode
  • Visual controls can be adjusted while listening — changes apply in real time
